We designed this seat for the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (MAD) in Paris, when it unveiled its newly remodelled Modern and Contemporary Design Gallery. It was made from sheet metal with large holes and given a rubber texture by soaking it in plastic. It followed on from the Bloc stool we created in 2007. Used on its own or in groups of three to make a bench, the block sets the pace for visitors to the museum, becoming a part of its identity.
